Description: Leah receives a frantic late‑night call from her troubled younger half‑sister, Amanda, who insists her five‑year‑old son is in danger—despite the fact that Amanda has no children. Before Leah can get answers, Amanda suddenly runs into the road and is killed. Although the coroner later finds hallucinogens in Amanda’s system, strange events begin to unfold: a mysterious boy appears at her visitation, Leah receives silent late‑night calls, and she senses someone watching her. It becomes clear that someone blames her for Amanda’s death and wants her dead as well.
Later, when Leah returns to her apartment, she finds a cheap bouquet and a red gift bag at her door. Assuming they’re from Neil, a man she briefly dated, she checks the bag—only to discover a cloth doll with black X’s drawn over its eyes and a disturbing word written at its mouth, signaling that the threat against her is real and personal.
